La Terrazze Shopping Centre

Terrazze" shopping centre project is part of the redevelopment of the former IP area, dismissed petrochemical plant located close to the centre of the Ligurian city, on the northern side of the Genova - Pisa railway.

Le Terrazze Shopping Centre is the first phase of a large urban transformation project near the city centre of La Spezia. It will become the largest shopping and leisure centre in the region, servicing a catchment of around 200,000 inhabitants.

The centre will be easily accessible both for people from La Spezia and for people in the region. The ground floor is anchored by an IPERCOOP hypermarket, while the first floor will accommodate a broad fashion offer with national and international brands and a food court. A fitness centre is expected on the top floor.

All shopping levels will have direct access to the parking facility. The project is being developed by two international retail specialists, ING Real Estate and Sonae Sierra, according to the newest quality standards of shopping centre design, including an ISO 14001 environmental certification.

The design by Broadway Malyan is inspired by the surrounding landscape, which is characterised by terraced hills descending into the sea.
